Five Ways to Fill Your Position as a Kingdom Citizen
How to become a better fit for God’s promotion
The other day while driving, I (Sebastien) thought of a quote I have heard many times over in my years of leadership training. The quote is the following:
“The position doesn’t make the leader, the leader makes the position.”
I know this to be true, especially in the corporate world.
But then my mind shifted to our position as Kingdom Citizens.
I thought about how God has given us, through faith, the highest position(s) that could ever be conferred upon humans.
So, if it’s true (and it is) that the leader makes the position, how can we, as believers, live up to this privileged position that God gave us and become the leaders we are meant to be? How can we… "Make this position"?
In this episode titled Five ways to fill your position in the Kingdom of God, we’ll give you the goods.
As you listen, always keep in mind that your life (and exalted scriptural position) is God’s gift to you, and that what you make of it... is your gift back to God.
Make it a good one!

“In the corporate world, people get promotions based on their performance. Christianity operates in reverse: we get the position without merit, and then we are called to fill it by doing the works God prepared in advance and in accordance with the position.”
“Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” ~ Mat. [25:23]
“The heart of worship is this: getting a deeper sense of God’s majesty, power, and attributes.”
“Worship will kindle the initial spark you need to fire you up to fill your position.”
“Growth doesn’t just happen. Growth, whether spiritual, personal, or even physical, is always preceded by some form of intentionality.”
“Make no mistake about it: Kingdom leadership is servant-leadership.”
“Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.” ~ John Wesley
“In the west, we lack much understanding about what being part of a kingdom implies. This puts us at a great disadvantage in understanding our role, what we are a part of, and how the benefits attached to it impact us.”
“I (Sebastien) couldn’t fully understand what it meant to be a believer until I understood the Kingdom of God and its provision better.”
“Sometimes, Christians, in order to sound spiritual or godly, will say they are willing to die for Christ. While that may be noble, what God is really looking for are people who are willing to live for Christ.”
