How to Have Faith Like a Child
The joy of trusting God as your Father
Jesus taught His disciples concerning little children that “Of such is the Kingdom of God”.
We’ve heard this account many times and most of us think we understand what it means to be “as little children.” In fact, many of us think we do have childlike faith. But do we really?
As we go through life, life happens. Our negative experiences, relationships, and trials take a toll on us. As we grow into adulthood, we become, well... adulterated. Meaning, we get corrupted and lose our childlikeness.
In order to have childlike faith, many of us need to "unlearn" what we have learned, about faith, and about God - our Father.
So, in this episode, we’ll take an indepth look at the best faith teachers out there: Children.
How do they behave, think, see, conduct themselves?
As you will see, it’s one thing to “let go of childish things” in order to mature, but quite another to become too adult, as in… adulterated.
In This Episode You Will:
- Learn what the most impactful faith teachers all have in common
- Learn in what way man has hindered our child like faith
- Understand the characteristics of childlike faith
- Learn what Jesus meant by “Of such is the Kingdom of God”
- Learn of four ways we get good things from the Father.
Memorable Quotes & Verses:
“Children are not surprised by the miraculous, they expect the miraculous.”
“In many ways, as adults we have become adulterated (corrupted) and lost it (our childlike faith) along the way. In many ways, to have Kingdom Faith we must unlearn what we have learned.”
“The Kingdom of God is made up of citizens that are childlike.”
“The less our kids ask from us, the less they get. That’s pretty simple isn’t it?”
“The best way to figure out how we should have childlike faith is by observing how small children operate.”
“Our children get good things from us when they behave and obey us. When they cooperate with our will. It’s the same thing with God. He blesses and rewards obedience.”
“Our Father is the King. He is the smartest, strongest, and richest one there is.”
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” - Albert Einstein
“And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.” ~ Mark 10: 13-16
