What Does Being a Good Man Imply?

 

The most ignored attribute of good men in Scripture

 

As a youth and a believer, I (Sebastien) had a strong desire to become a good man. To that end, I believed that I could develop into one by:

 

1. Going to church
2. Doing good unto others
3. Being a good husband and father
4. Working hard
5. Being a servant-leader, etc.

 

Of course, these are all good things. However, what I didn’t know was that they are only part of the equation for the biblical definition of a good man.

Furthermore, the Bible mostly tells us that we humans aren’t good.

In Mark 10:18, Jesus said to the rich young ruler:

"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone.”

Which resonates with another well-known passage, which is Romans 3:12:

 

“They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”

 

But, conversely, there are other passages which hint that goodness can be a human trait, such as Luke 6:45, where Jesus says:

 

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good.”

 

And in Acts 11: 24, we read about Barnabas:

“he was a good man, and full of the Holy Spirit and of faith.”

 

So which is it? Is there such a thing as a good man? And what does it take to be one?

• You having more than enough money to fulfill every Kingdom assignment He has for you.
• You having more than enough left over to help others fulfill their Kingdom assignment.

 

Now, if what we said here today resonates with you, we have a proposition for you. 

 

Most financial experts today agree that in order to create wealth in today’s economy, you need at least 5 streams of income. 

 

The reality, however, is that most people have 2 or 3 max.

• If you want to get acquainted with a great extra stream of income

• If you desire to bear more than just spiritual fruit
• If you want to stop commuting and work from home

We believe God wants you to bear fruit for His glory, for your well-being, for your prosperity, for your family, for your legacy, for your testimony, and for His kingdom to expand further.

 

Remember, God is looking… for a few good men (a few good women)! The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few! 

 

We are looking for believers who care about changing their situation. We are looking for people who don’t want to just get by anymore. We are looking for people who want things to change!
